Ivy Cottage sits close to the main house. Originally the groundskeeper’s abode, this charming stone building has been carefully redesigned and renovated to become a fabulous family holiday retreat. The cottage retains a wealth of original features, while allowing for some new embellishments and artistic touches. We invite you to enjoy the romantic magical atmosphere of a forgotten fairytale cottage, combining traditional charm with modern fixtures. 

Briar is the master bedroom upstairs, where high ceilings create a light and airy atmosphere, and the luxurious ensuite comes with a double sink and freestanding bath.  

Bramble and Berry are neighbouring bedrooms on the ground floor, sharing a shower room between them. Berry is a deliciously cosy double bedroom, while Bramble offers a twin bed set up, ideal for children.

A fully fitted kitchen, sweet little snug and a reading nook complete the rooms in the house, and the secluded private garden patio for al fresco dining is perfectly situated to catch the evening sunshine.

King Bed

The master bedroom on the first floor, Briar, features a King Size bed. While the two bedrooms on the ground floor, Bramble and Berry, are configured as a twin and double bedroom.

Self-Catering

Ivy Cottage is fully self-catering, with a fully fitted kitchen and a secluded private garden patio for al fresco dining, which is perfectly situated to catch the evening sunshine.

Electric Blanket

All guest beds have a fitted electric blanket for those cooler nights.

Always present when you needed her, always helpful and although she lives there, also somehow "invisible" which gave you the feeling of privacy. Even our dog felt right at home. Always ready with a good tip, a stunning cook (I can only strongly advise everyone to have dinner with her!!), just a lovely and always friendly personality. A hostess can't be better. From Merdrignac you can make beautiful excursions, but it is also possible to spend the day in the manor and its gardens with terraces.
